Principal’s Message

Welcome to SCMS!  As principal, I am excited and energized to be part of student’s middle school experiences. SCMS is getting ready for an awesome year full of activities and experiences geared specifically to the educational, social, and developmental needs of sixth, seventh, and eighth graders.

We are fortunate to have a middle school with such an outstanding staff.  SCMS has an excellent faculty who is interested in making every student’s school experience a successful one.  With a helpful support staff of teacher assistants, secretary, bookkeeper, custodians, and cafeteria workers, lots of people are working very hard to make this year a positive experience for our students.

As principal, it is my job to make sure student’s years at SCMS are successful.  Middle school is a time of preparation and change.  The workload and social adjustments are greater here than at the elementary level, but less that at the high school level.  In order to be successful, students need to be not only good scholars, but also good citizens.  By following directions, acting appropriately, and respecting themselves and others, their time at SCMS will be pleasant and productive.

I am looking forward to working with students and their teachers this year.  I invite parents to visit and/or communicate with the school as often as they desire.  I also wish for each student to have an awesome and successful year at Spring City Middle School.
