Fact Families
Fact families include inverse operations. This means two operations that
are opposite in effect. Addition and subttraction are inverse operations.
Multiplication and division are inverse operations. Example:
| 3 + 4 = 7 | 3x7=21 |
| 4 + 3 = 7 | 7x3=21 |
| 7 - 4 = 3 | 21 ÷7=3 |
| 7 - 3 = 4 | 21 ÷3 =7 |
21/3 inverse is 3/21 ...(Inverse means opposite of...)
4 = (4/1) inverse is 1/4
