Adverbs

  1. Adverbs- mostly describe verbs.

  2. An adverb MAY describe a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.

  3. Adverbs describe verbs by telling a)HOW b) WHEN c)WHERE.

  4. Adverbs describe adjectives or other adverbs by telling TO WHAT EXTENT.

  5. RULES TO COMPARE USING ADVERBS

  6. Most adverbs end in -ly, especially if they tell HOW.

  7. The words GOOD, BAD, & WELL may be used as adjectives.

  8. WELL is an adjective when it means healthy.

  9. WELL & BADLY are adverbs when they tell HOW.
