Business Letter
A business letter has six parts: heading, inside address,greeting, body, closing, & signature.
HEADING- shows the writer's address and the date.
INSIDE ADDRESS- gives the name and address of the person and company to whom the letter is written.
GREETING- is formal. Use Dear Sir or Madam: if you don't have a name.
BODY- states the purpose of the letter. Always indent the first line of every paragraph.
CLOSING- is formal. Sincerely, may be used as a formal closing.
SIGNATURE- gives the writer's name signed in ink.
