Reading Tips for Parents

Beginning of the week reminders:

Every Monday or the first day that your

child attends school in the week,

they should be prepared with the following:

-reading vocabulary test

-SIGNED assignment book

-work folder returned

Reading and English spiral notebooks are an on-going project. When your child finishes any daily work at school, it is their responsibility to work on the two notebook assignments. These are both graded. The due date for each unit will be announced and written on the board in the classroom for your child to copy into their assignment book. If your child does not have the notebooks completed during school time, they will need to take these home and complete them before the date they are due. If your child is absent for any reason, they need to stay in after school classes to complete their make up work. A note will be sent home with your child for you to fill out and return to school. These classes are held each week. They are taught by Debbie Shaver & Susan Holder.

REMEMBER:

If your child eats breakfast at school, they MUST be in the cafeteria NO LATER than 7:45.

The last day of every school week,

we will send graded papers home

in your child's folder.

Please review these with your child

and praise them for the

good work they are doing.

Also, encourage them with

any academic

or study skills that they are

struggling with.

Thank you for your help with this.
