Underlining

1. Underline books, movies, plays, operas, TV shows, and video titles. ( Have you read Little House on the Prarie?)

2. Underline names of newspapers and magazines. (I read the article in Junior Scholastic.)

3. Underline foreign words and phrases. (Adios, my good friends.)

4. Underline to add emphasis to words and phrases. (She told us never to eat with our hands.)

• Note- In typeset books or on a word processor, italic type is used in place of underlining.
