Multiplication Facts

Zero times any number is zero. That's because zero is the "king".

One times any number is always the other number.

Two times a number means to add the number twice.

You can learn the fives by looking at a clock. Wnen it's 10 after, the big hand points to the 2, so 2x5=10. when it's 20 after, the points to the 4, so 4x5 is 20.

3x3=9 Blind Mice
3x4=12 Cheer
4x4=16 Hand Glider
6x3=18 Big Foot
6x4=24 Magic Pond
3x7=21 Butterfly Tree
7x4=28 Fireman
3x8=24 The Bat and Cave
8x4=32 Dirty Pig

You won't have to memorize any stories for the nines because there are some tricks. Always use the number that is not nine to figure out one less. (Except, of course, when it's 9x9.) Second, if you add up the digits in the answer, they will always equal nine. Example: 9x6=54 Think, 5 is one less than six. Then think, 4 added to five =9.
