Parent Information

READING - This week we are reading the stories “Henry and Mudge and Mrs. Hopper’s House” and “Good Books, Good Times!”  Please practice our word wall words and spelling words at home with your child this week.   Also, in the boxes are three sentences for your child to read to you.

Be sure to work with your child on addition and subtraction facts. They are to be memorized before your child promotes to Second Grade.

 

ENGLISH – We will introduce adjectives that compare. We will practice and write with adjectives that compare.

Parent Information:

 Please continually review with your child these facts:

 Clock skills - Telling time to the hour and half hour

- Elapsed Time

  Money skills - Recognizing coins (penny, nickel,
                           dime, quarter, and half dollar.)
                        -  Knowing the value of each coin

-  Addition of coins.
