Exciting things we will learn next week:

Phonics: We will begin studying the letter “Ll” this week.

Story: My Lucky Day

Sight words: that, are, do

Math: We will begin simple subtraction and continue with equal parts next week.

 

Phonics: Have your child sound out the following words:

 

    hat, hop, hit, hip,  lap, lid, lip, lick, lack

 

 

 

 

Things to know:
**Grade cards go home Monday, March 1st. Be sure to sign and return it the next day.

 

** Parent/Teacher conferences will be held Tuesday, March 2nd.    

 

**There will be a dinner held for parents in the cafeteria on March 2nd from 4:00-5:30.

 

** Spring pictures will be Wednesday, March 31st. We will also have our class picture that day so be sure your child is at school and on time that day. Pictures will be prepay just like in the fall. I will be sending home that information soon.

*Identifies money (penny, nickel, dime, quarter) and their value

*Subtraction (differences to 10)

*Prints letters of the alphabet (upper and lower case)

*Matches upper and lower case letters

*Estimates and measures length
