By this time 8th grade students should be able to type without looking at the keyboard.Please encourage your child to practice keyboarding exercises each night. Keyboarding is only part of what we do in the lab. We also work in several academic programs such as Plato, Cornerstone Reading and Math, and I work with the other 8th grade teachers to reinforce what they are teaching. We also work with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. All the work done in the lab is for a grade. When the daily work is completed there will be some time for games.
