Question of the Week: "How many forms of transportation can you name?"

Amazing Words (vocabulary): plane, jetway, subway, tunnel, ferryboat, sidecar

Phonics: introduction of Jj AND Ww; review M, T, A, P, S, I, C, B, N, R, D, K, F, O, H, L, G, E

Story: Max Takes the Train

Theme: transportation, weather, spring

Sight words: introduction of color words: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, white, brown, gray

Math: introduction of quarter and its value; review of subtraction and penny, nickel, dime

Sound out: jet, jog, job, west, wag, wet, wig, web, win

Things to know:
**Spring pictures will be taken March 31. The pictures will be by PREPAY only. More information will come home later concerning the individual and group picture.

**Spring Break will begin April 2. All students will return to school on April 12.

**Our treasure box is empty! Please help out by sending small items that can be given as treasures. Items may be slightly used (such as Happy Meal toys) as long as they are clean and in good shape.

**If you did not send in gluesticks for your child at the last request, please try to get those over the weekend. We still need glue for the next 8 weeks of school!
