Language Arts/Reading (Mr. Swafford)

Language Arts (Mr. Swafford) I will be sending home graded papers tomorrow. This week we will be working on the reading story “The Unsinkable Wreck of the R.M.S. Titanic.” I am sending home reading and spelling work for this story. There will be three spelling worksheets and two reading worksheets. These will be due on Thursday. Students may work on these at their leisure. This week students will be taking practice TCAP test during our homeroom time and during the time we have for Language Arts. We will work together in correcting any issues which are causing problems.

This week we will continue preparing for TCAPs.  We will take quizzes over information on several amendments as well as important events associated with the Civil Rights Movement.  We will also review and quiz over information about the state of Tennessee.

 Please encourage your student to spend extra time reading in their books this week!

 4-H - Great job on demonstrations last week!  Remember to continue bringing in coke tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.  Next month's project is a Dairy Poster and will be worth 5 extra points on any assignment.

Math- (Mrs. Pendergrass) Mrs. Smalling

Math (Mrs. Smalling) – We are still continuing to review many of our math skills for the TCAP. This week we will be working on “Numbers and Operations” and  “Mathematical Processes ”.  Please continue practicing multiplication skills with your child. We will be having our multiplication test on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Homework – Complete handout and return by Friday.  Please WRITE YOUR NAME ON TOP, bubble in your answers, and use your calculator!!!
