Remember, the race is on. If your class worm completes its "crawl" around the room first, it's party time for you!! To move your worm ahead, read a book on your level, and pass the AR test. Then you may complete a worm section and add it to the wall.
Earn points on your final grade point average! If you read a book on your reading level and pass the AR test, you can earn a whole point added to your report card average! Read two books and earn two points!!

At Level 1, the student is able to

determine the meaning of unknown words and/or multiple meaning
words through the use of context clues.

unknown words in context with appropriate synonyms or antonyms.

predictions about the outcome of a given passage.

reading.
