ABOUT ME!

Mr Mac.....

This page is meant for anyone who wants to know a little more about me. Chances are you think that I am a little CrAZy. I am not crazy at all, and I have the documentation to prove it. (i'm just joking....don't call the schoolboard). Anyway, here is some more information about me......

THE NAME GAME:

Mcpherson...that's the name. Actually, it's "MacanPhearsain" which means "son of the parson". My name is Scottish....that's right, I'm a Scot....or at least someone in my family used to be....and from my research my ancestors started reaching the Americas in the 1600's. The earliest arrival of a McPherson that I have been able to find is Katherine, who arrived in 1625 in Quebec. (I'm sure she was a nice lady...right?) I also have some strong Irish ancestry as well as some Native American (like many others in this area).

MY HISTORY (the short version):

I am a native of Rhea County. I was born at a very young age in a cave. For the first part of my life, I was raised by wolves. When I was about 13 or so, I embarked on a journey that would allow me to lead a life of adventure. I spent the next few years wrestling crocodiles, running with the bulls in Pamplona, skydiving with nothing more than an umbrella, and eventually ended up as a treasure hunter. All of these endeavors lacked the danger that I so badly craved...so now I teach middle school students.

WHAT I DO:

I graduated from UTC with a degree in Middle School Education (concentration in Science and Social Studies). I was married in 2000 (a.d., not b.c.) to Christina and we built a new home. I thought that building a house and teaching at the same time was hard work. That was before Xander and Aaliyah-Kate. About two months before we moved into our house, my son was born....Johnathan Alexander. If you have me in class, you know who Xander is because I never cease to talk about him. I love him more everyday. If you don't know who Xander is, you can come to my house sometime to see him....he is the little cyclone running around the room. Our second child is Zoe Aaliyah-Kate; born in May of 2005. She is my sweetheart and she will also tell you that she is in charge. I plan on raising her to be a wonderful person who knows various forms of martial arts...so guys, back off.
