****Breakfast – The 5^th grade has decided to have breakfast in our classes the mornings of TCAP tests.  Students may bring their own breakfast with them, or we will have other options.  Please see attached letter for more information.

Book Orders

If you wish to buy any books you may send either a check or cash for the purchase amount. Please make any checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. This will be due next week on March 22.

Language Arts (Mr. Swafford) This week we will be working on the reading story “Ghost Towns of the American West.” I am sending home reading and spelling work for this story. There will be three spelling worksheets and two reading worksheets. These will be due on Thursday. Students may work on these at their leisure. This week students will be reviewing skills as we finalize preparations for TCAP testing.

Science/Social Studies (Mrs. Farnsworth)

This week we will continue to review for TCAPs.  We will be going over several Social Studies topics as well as doing review work from the practice book.

Thank you for making sure your students are here on time and alert!  They have been working very hard!

Math (Mrs. Smalling) - We are still continuing to review many of our math skills for the TCAP. This week we will be working on finishing “Mathematical Process” and  “Geometry”.  Please continue practicing multiplication skills with your child. We will be having our multiplication test on Tuesday and Thursday.

REMINDER- If you want to bring in a SIMPLE calculator to use in class for TCAP practice and testing, you may do so.

Homework – Complete handout and return by Friday.  Please WRITE YOUR NAME ON TOP, bubble in your answers, and use your calculator!!!

Language Arts- Three spelling worksheets and two reading worksheets are all due by Thursday March 18.
