MRS. GUFFEY'S PARENT PAGE
2007-2008

Dear Parent,
By visiting this page you are demonstrating an interest in your student's success in Biology II this year. Below is a list of parent suggestions that I believe will be helpful for your child's success this year.
How A Parent Can Help His/Her Student To Succeed in Biology:
Provide a quiet, well-lit place for your student to study and, during study time, completely eliminate distractions (incoming and outgoing phone calls, television, radio, and visits from sibilings, and friends, etc.). Make sure your student studies some Biology every day.
Make your student accountable and show that you take an active interest in their learning by checking the assignment calendar and making sure that all assignments are completed to date and handed in on time!!!!!!
Understand that Biology may be one of your student's most difficult classes. Encourage steady improvement instead of a specific letter grade.
Plan ahead to attend the next PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE on Thursday, September 27th. This will provide an opportunity for you to discuss progress, successes, etc. with me. I will be glad to give your student a progress report with a written request from you.
Check the class website for course info, calendars, etc.
I am committed to being a partner with you
in your child's success!
