Options for Macbeth Essay

1. How do Lady Macbeth and/or Macbeth change as individuals throughout

the play?

2. Are Macbeth and Malcolm opposites?

3. Are the witches really supernatural?

4. What are some significant symbols and images in Macbeth?

5. What evidence can you show that Macbeth is a tyrant?

You will write a well-rounded essay answering one of the above questions. You will need to support your claims with evidence/examples from the play. Your essay should include an introduction paragraph (with thesis), body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph. In total, your essay should be approximately two hand- written pages using manuscript form. All of the topics for these questions should have many examples from the play to support your ideas. Before writing your essay, you should examine the play for evidence to support the essay topic you choose. Remember your rules of grammar, spelling, etc!!!
