Sophomore English

2005-2006

 

1.    Be in your seat ready to work when the tardy bell rings.

2.    Always have your book, paper, pen, & notebook.

3.    Turn in all assignments on the due date.

4.    Keep noise to a minimum.

5.    Treat everyone with respect.

6.    Remain in your seat until the bell rings.

7.    Abide by all school-wide rules as posted in the room.

8.    Use the hall pass to go to the nurse or restroom only.

9.    Turn in make-up work one day after you return to school.

 

Make-up work policy-

          Upon returning to school after a missed class, you must obtain an excused absence form, then request your make-up work from me.

All assignments must me turned into me the NEXT school day. No make-up work will be accepted after that day. Do not ask to turn in make-up work at the end of the 6 weeks if you missed a class any time other than the last week of the 6 weeks. You are completely responsible for finding our what your make-up work is and turning it in on time.­  Special arrangements will be made to make-up quizzes or tests.

 

Grading Policy-

          All assignments will be given a point value (ex. 25pts, 50 pts, 100 pts). At the end of each grading period, the total number of points you have earned will determine your grade. Your total points earned will be divided by the total points possible for the grading period (example: 1800 pts out of 2000 pts = 90% B)

 

A= 93- 100

B= 85- 92

C= 75- 84

D= 70- 74

F= 0- 69
