Leveled Text

When teaching students to read, it is important to use materials at the “just right” level. This is a level where students know enough to work, but are still challenged to learn. The books which students read are leveled using the letters A-Z. When students are functioning on grade level, levels A-D are for Kindergarten, E-I are 1^st grade ;J-L are 2^nd grade and M-O are 3^rd grade levels.
