Rhea County's Technology Department includes 6 employees. The Rhea County Educational Wide Area Network consists of 15 Novell Netware 5.1, Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows NT servers providing data and services to every classroom in our school system. The Tech Department oversees maintenance of over 1400 computers, and the related technology problems in classrooms at all schools and some county-wide sites as well as providing web services and programming for the Department of Education.  The Department provides a full-time trainer, and a training lab with 3 days release time for every professional employee, dedicated to Technology Staff Development in both curriculum and support.
