4 programs under specific Federal Titles. Our local school system
includes departments for all Titles. See the lists below for an
explanation of the Federal Titles and of our local Title Programs and the
staff for them. |

This Title provides funds for Local Education Authority (LEA) programs in
Reading & Math. |

Title II funds professional development for Math and Science teachers.
This could include conferences, classes or training materials for the expansion of
teachers' skills in either Math or Science. |

| Title V |
The funds for this federal program can be applied to professional
development for Math and Science teachers, too. The difference is that funds under
Title V can be used to purchase equipment for teacher training, use or classroom use.
Examples of fund usage for Title V can include a classroom computer, math
programs, science laser discs/DVD's, conferences or training material. |

This federal mandate deals with sexual harassment in the workplace and
provides a contact for employees of Rhea County Board of Education who feel they have been
discriminated against because of sex or who have been sexually harassed. This Title
is not funded by the federal government. |
